FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
Give parakeet fresh food and water daily. Daily fruits and vegetables can be offered in small amounts.
HABITAT AND CARE
Parakeets should be kept singly in a minimum 24x24x30 inch wire habitat to maximize bonding with their pet parents. Pairs can be kept in larger habitats, where they will bond more with their habitat mates. Parakeets are a low-maintenance beginner-intermediate experience level bird. Daily spot cleaning of the cage, water and food dishes is required. Weekly deep cleaning is recommended. Rotation of enrichment toys/materials specific to parakeets is recommended. Parakeets also enjoy being held and will benefit from outside-the-cage interactions in a safe environment.
